Fundraising boost!

York Hospital Radio was delighted to receive a £500 donation from proceeds of the 2018 Community Carol Concert.

Organisers of the concert, of which the station are long-time supporters, have presented volunteers with the proceeds of December’s sell-out event at York Barbican. YHR's Phil Bewers (third left) was at the event to collect the donation.

Graham Bradbury, secretary of the carol concert group, said: “We are always delighted to be able to support local charities and help with the work they do in the community.”

This year’s concert will be on December 15 at 2.30pm. Tickets are on sale at the Barbican from July 1.
