We are excited to share with you details about a Celebration Dinner for the 60th Anniversary of York Hospital Radio. This is just one of many special events we are planning for 2024.

The exact date of the anniversary - 60 years since the first ever request show was broadcast - will be Friday, 26 January, 2024.

The Celebration Dinner will be held at Delta Hotel by Marriott, Tadcaster Road, York (formerly known simply as The Marriott) on Saturday, 3 February, 2024, with arrival at 7pm for Dinner from 7.30pm.

There is ample free parking at the hotel (guests simply need to record their car registration at Reception), and the hotel is on several bus routes.

Our event will begin with a complimentary drink on arrival. We have the Classic Suite to ourselves for the evening, which includes our own pay bar.

The Master of Ceremonies will be Alan Dedicoat, our Patron, and we will also have a Special Guest Speaker.

The menu will be as follows:

STARTERS : A choice of:

Smoked Mackerel : served with potato salad, chives, horseradish, and creme fraiche

Roast tomato and basil soup (v)

Shaved chicken salad, with grapes, chives, and creme fraiche

MAINS : A choice of:

Chicken Supreme, with thyme buttered shallots, potato gratin

Pan fried fillet of Salmon, with leeks, peas and pancetta

Mushroom, artichoke and sage risotto (v)

DESSERTS : A choice of:

Sticky Toffee Pudding, with toffee sauce, and Jude's salted caramel ice cream

Milk Chocolate Cheesecake, with vanilla sauce

Seasonal fruit tart, with vanilla ice cream

Tea / coffee/ mints.

We will need to know your menu choices in advance of the meal.
